Professor Douglas de Castro from the School of Law – Lanzhou University - published an opinion article titled 'The Russia-Ukraine Crisis and Brazil.'

Professor Castro argues in the article that Brazil's position during the UN's Security Council meeting on January 31 was to seek forms for the de-escalation of the conflict and the search for a peaceful resolution according to International Law.
He remembered that this positioning of the country is consistent with the country's foreign policy history, one of the founding members of the UN.
