On the afternoon of July 12, the opening ceremony of 2021 summer camp of Lanzhou University Law School was successfully held on Chengguan campus. The party secretary of LULS Sha Peng, the dean Gan Peizhong, vice dean Han Xuemei, and teacher representatives professor Rong, Associate Professor Bai and Associate Professor Chen attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by vice dean Han. More than 20 undergraduates including China University of Political Science and Law and other universities after careful deliberation were selected to participate in this summer camp.

At the beginning, the promotion film of LZULS rolled out. Dean Gan delivered a speech on behalf of the school, in which he first warmly greeted the participants by thanking them for choosing the LULS, and then introduced the school further. He pointed that Lanzhou University is a university endowed with humanistic heritage and academic atmosphere, yet situated at a critical moment for further elevation. It is worth celebrating and worthwhile for students to come here at this time.

Huang Li Ruiyi shared her thoughts as a representative of the students. She said that she was very fortunate for having the chance to join in the summer camp, and hoped to learn knowledge through the activity, and strive to be able to come to Lanzhou University Law School for further study.

Then, Associate Professor Chen demonstrated the difference between Juris Master and the Master of Laws. With assistance of rich materials and detailed data, he introduced the cultivating characteristics of law graduates through, such as the full tutorial system, the training featuring different directions, and special courses for opening, parallel classes, trial and selective system, etc.

Also, Associate Professor Bai made a speech as teacher representative. She shared her personal experience and had a heated exchange with students “about study-Why do I choose law?”, “The law is about my dream-what is for schooling?” and other related subjects, as well as some insights about the path of life, which touched their inner-mind to resonate and echo.

Finally, the graduate student representative, Bai Jing, made a speech and shared his experience of being recommended and experience of studying and living at Lanzhou University in the past year.

Professor Rong conducted a seminar. According to the schedule, in the next few days, participants will be organized to conduct a series of visits, exchanges and assessment activities, among whom the best will be granted the qualifications for being excellent in the summer camp.
