Law School Student Yu Xiaohang Won the Third Prize of the Paper

To study and implement a series of important instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on the novel Coronavirus epidemic prevention and control work, inspire the enthusiasm of the majority of legal workers in legal research, rule of law practice and legal services, and promote research on epidemic prevention and control in accordance with the law, serving scientific decision-making and implement policies according to law, Beijing Government Legal Research Society, Beijing Law Society Administrative Law Research Society, and Beijing Municipal Government Rule of Law Research Center, Party School of the CPC Central Committee Political and Law Teaching and Research Department, Beijing Municipal Party School Law Department, Law School of Renmin University of China, Law School of Beijing Normal University, Guangming Net, Legal Network and other units launched the activities of 'Fight Against the Epidemic Together and Go with the Rule of Law' soliciting proposals, selecting papers and Recommending of the rule of law from March 1st to April 30th, 2020.

      The paper 'The way to improve the punishment mechanism for breaking faith based on the thinking of the event of ‘false mask’ during the anti-epidemic period' is written by Yu Xiaohang, a class of 2019 master of economic law major, under the guidance of Professor Liu Guanghua, deputy director of evidence-based social science research center of Lanzhou University and Professor of law school. This paper won the third prize in more than 300 papers (first place for master students). This paper was included in the 'Community of Anti-epidemic Together and Along with the Rule of Law Award-winning Papers' and submitted to the Ministry of justice and Beijing municipal leaders for decision-making reference. This paper is a phased achievement of the project 'evidence based research on the current situation of China's local credit legislation', which is funded by the special fund for basic scientific research business expenses of Central Universities, under the guidance of Professor Liu Guanghua and presided over by Yu Xiaohang.

       

During the anti-epidemic period, Yu Xiaohang was deeply attached to his hometown and made full use of his knowledge to contribute to the anti-epidemic activities in the capital. Yu Xiaohang is a undergraduate of class 2015 of law school and an outstanding graduate of Lanzhou University in 2019. As an innovative talent, Yu Xiaohang is exempted from further study in economic law major of our university. The law school has always attached great importance to the cultivation of undergraduate scientific research quality, encouraged students to participate in scientific research projects and exercise their scientific research ability. Yu Xiaohang won the prize this time, which once again shows and reflects the outstanding achievements of the talent training work of the Law School of Lanzhou University, especially the continuous training of outstanding undergraduates. It will also encourage more law school students to continuously improve their professional level and bravely climb the academic peak.
