On September 7^th, the founding meeting of Lanzhou Alumni Association of Science, Technology, Economy and Culture of Lanzhou University was held in the conference hall on the third floor of Lanzhou Legend Hotel. Sha Peng, Secretary of the Party Committee of Lanzhou University Law School, the Dean Gan Peizhong, Vice Dean Wu Shuangquan and Chi Fangxu were invited to attend the founding meeting.

At the donation part of the founding conference, Yang Juncai, the 1986 alumnus of the Department of Law of Lanzhou University, the chairman of Gansu Tianjian Industrial Group, and the vice-chairman of Lanzhou Alumni Association for Science, Technology, Economy and Culture Promotion of Lanzhou University, witnessed by Secretary Sha Peng, the Dean Gan Peizhong and other leading guests and alumni, gave the donation to Lanzhou University Education Development Fund, and the Dean Gan Peizhong accepted the donation on behalf of the College. The fund is dedicated to the development of education in Lanzhou University Law School, which is the first large amount of donation received by the college.

After the meeting, the leaders of the college took photos with the alumni of the law school attending the conference.

A Personal Introduction to Yang Juncai

Yang Juncai, a member of the China Democratic League, graduated from the Law Department of Lanzhou University in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in law. He studied at the School of Management of Lanzhou University from March 2009 to July 2011 with a master's degree in business administration. From July 1990 to March 1993, he worked in Lanzhou School Enterprise Corporation. From March 1993 to March 2004, he worked in Lanzhou Economic and Technological Development Corporation, Lanzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee. He was the office director, deputy general manager, and also the general manager of Lanzhou Zhongwang Real Estate Co., Ltd. Gansu Tianjian Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. was established in 2004 and he has served as the chairman of the board, vice chairman of the Gansu Entrepreneurs Association of the Democratic League of China, and director of the Gansu Provincial Management Association ever since.

Mr. Yang Juncai completed undergraduate and postgraduate education in Lanzhou University and gained rich knowledge and outstanding recognition. He resigned from government office where he had worked for decades, and founded Gansu Tianjian Industry (Group) Company, adhering to the business philosophy of 'honesty, steadfastness, innovation and guidance, and repayment to society'. He promotes the corporate culture of 'loyalty and kindness, filial piety and kindness, solidarity and self-improvement', and invest in real estate development, cultural industry, commercial operation, decoration, property management and other fields successively, forming a comprehensive entity enterprise with assets of more than 2 billion yuan, attracting more than 600 employees and paying taxes of tens of millions of yuan annually. While the company continues to develop, it mobilizes and encourages all employees to take an active part in social public welfare undertakings. While carrying out activities such as 'one-day donation' and 'one-thing donation' within the company, it continuously injects funds through 'Vision and Sunshine Action' to support young people in poverty-stricken areas in their pursuit of learning and knowledge, and has contributed about 5 million yuan in donations, aiming to aid the poor and comfort the weak, help the orphans and the disabled, and help the poor areas improve their living conditions. In September 2019, on the occasion of the 110th anniversary celebration of the founding of Lanzhou University, Yang Juncai personally donated 1 million yuan to the Law School of Lanzhou University to support the strengthening of the discipline and construction of the Law School.
