Lanzhou University '12.4' Law Popularity Campaign Launch Ceremony ,2018   

In order to conscientiously study and implement Xi Jinping's socialist propositions with Chinese characteristics , the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on ruling the country according to law and the important guiding spirit of the publicity and education on the rule of law, and actively implement the Central publicity Department and the Judicature. The deployment of the 7th Five-Year Plan for the Promotion of Rule of Law (2016-2020) is on the occasion of the National Constitution Day of 2018 and the National Legal Publicity Day. The Publicity Department of the Party Committee of Lanzhou University, The Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Education, the Youth League Committee and the School of Law jointly sponsored the Lanzhou University Law School Youth League Committee, the Student Union, the Graduate School, the Law Society, and carried out the activity with the theme of 'promoting comprehensive law-based governance and firmly safeguarding the authority of the Constitution' in the 2018-Law promotion campaign month. On the morning of  30^th November, the launching ceremony and special report was held in the lecture hall of Yifu Science Museum. The responsible persons of the Publicity Department, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Research and Industry, the Youth League Committee, and the Law School attended the launching ceremony. The launching ceremony was presided by He Junwen, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Law.

    At the launching ceremony, the deputy director of the Party Committee's Research and Development Department, Mr. Li Chunlin, gave a speech. Li Chunlin traced the history of the '12.4' popularization activities held by the law school, and pointed out that this year's '12.4' popularization activity month has the great significance of responding to the the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, promoting double-class construction, and cultivating socialist rule of law builders and successors. She emphasized that our '12.4' popularization activities should focus on the people of ethics and virtues, implement the socialist core values throughout the year and adhere to the socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics of having faith, believing in law, upholding law, using law, obeying law.

    Song Weiguo, deputy director of the Student Affairs Department, announced the official start of the “12.4” popularization campaign.

    After the launching ceremony, Professor Liu Guanghua of the Law School gave a special report on the topic of 'The Characteristics of the Rule of Law in the Ecological Civilization Construction'.

During the '12.4' popularization activities in 2018, there were a number of Educational activities such as law-enforcement lectures, moot court performances, legal knowledge quizzes, law debates, law film exhibitions, law-forwarding communities, and campus rule-of-law photo exhibitions. The venues were in Lanzhou University campuses and Lanzhou communities, primary and secondary schools.
